An exclusive video obtained by SaharaReporters has exposed an alleged case of examination malpractice involving Taraba State Commissioner for Finance, Sarah Enoch Adi.
The footage shows a woman identified as Leavitt Felix caught sitting the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) exam on Adi’s behalf.
In the recording, supervisors repeatedly pressed Felix to explain whose name she was writing under. “Mention it louder; you’re writing for Sarah Adi, right?” one asked, to which Felix responded: “Sarah Enoch Adi.” When asked to identify herself, she admitted: “Leavitt Felix.”
Supervisors pointed out discrepancies between her details and ICAN records, warning of police involvement if she failed to disclose the full truth. Felix later claimed a man named Joshua contracted her for the exam but denied knowing Adi personally.
This scandal comes amid ongoing criticism of Adi’s handling of a controversial biometric verification exercise that removed over 7,000 civil servants from the state payroll.
In August, striking workers demanded her dismissal, alongside the Accountant General, alleging incompetence and irregularities.
Despite her academic credentials—including a PhD in Accounting—Adi’s credibility is now under renewed scrutiny as opposition mounts for Governor Agbu Kefas to act.
