“I didn’t know if he was dead or alive,” she said. “Thankfully, he was crying, and that’s how I was able to find him.” Parker was pulled from the debris and is recovering. “Now, he’s acting like his normal self again,” Hollifield said.

A Kentucky mother rescued her 2-year-old son after an EF-4 tornado struck London, Kentucky, on May 16, killing 19 people.

Tara Hollifield said she didn’t receive the Tornado Warning due to an internet outage and lack of cell service. “I heard it coming,” she told FOX Weather. When the tornado hit, she couldn’t find her son, Parker. “I didn’t know if he was dead or alive,” she said. “Thankfully, he was crying, and that’s how I was able to find him.” Parker was pulled from the debris and is recovering. “Now, he’s acting like his normal self again,” Hollifield said. She suffered minor injuries.

Hollifield praised local support: “There’s always been hundreds of people… giving food and water.” Ten others were seriously injured, and cleanup efforts continue in Laurel County.
