Adelabu: “I’m here to tell you that I want to contest for governor of Oyo State in 2027.”
Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu, on Friday met with All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and stakeholders in Ogbomoso and Oyo zones as part of consultations for his 2027 governorship ambition.
At the residence of party chieftain Ayoade Adeseun in Ogbomoso, Adelabu declared: “I’m here to tell you that I want to contest for governor of Oyo State in 2027.” He added, “I’m up to the task, I want to show them that I can withstand and survive competition and come out victorious.”
Appealing to aggrieved party members for unity, he stressed the importance of Ogbomoso and Oyo zones in returning APC to power.
In Oyo town, he pledged an inclusive government if elected, stating, “No one will be left behind.” He also drummed support for President Tinubu’s re-election, saying, “Nigeria has a lot to benefit if Tinubu is re-elected.”
Party leaders, including Adeseun and Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, called for unity to secure victory in 2027.
