President Bola Tinubu’s appointments have sparked debate over alleged lopsidedness, with the Southwest securing 29 key positions—more than initially disclosed—while the Southeast lags behind. The Southwest dominates Tinubu’s appointments, claiming high-profile roles such as Finance Minister (Wale Edun), CBN Governor (Olayemi Cardoso), and EFCC Chairman (Ola Olukoyede). The North Central follows with 25 appointees, including Justice Minister Lateef Fagbemi and NNPCL GMD Bashir Ojulari. Critics highlight that the Northwest and Northeast also feature heavily, with Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru and NSA Nuhu Ribadu in top roles.
