The United States has engaged President Bola Tinubu on the need to strengthen regional security cooperation, particularly across West Africa. This was conveyed during a meeting between President Tinubu and US Deputy Secretary of State, Kurt Campbell, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Campbell emphasized the importance of security collaboration in the region, citing shared concerns over instability and threats from violent extremist groups.
“We see Nigeria as a critical partner in the region, and we are committed to deepening our cooperation in addressing common security challenges,” Campbell said.
