Elon Musk, known for his views on population decline, has developed unconventional strategies for managing his expanding family. With at least 14 children from various partners, including singer Grimes and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, Musk reportedly refers to his offspring as a “legion.”
To support his pronatalist ideals, Musk has offered his sperm to friends and encouraged the use of surrogates. In 2024, he purchased a $35 million compound in Austin, Texas, intended to house his children and some of their mothers. However, only Zilis has moved in so far.
Musk’s parenting approach has also led to legal battles. Grimes filed a custody suit in California, and conservative commentator Ashley St. Clair, who shares a son with Musk, is seeking sole custody, claiming limited involvement from him and rejecting a settlement offer.
