Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi has called on President Bola Tinubu to suspend his working visit to France and return home to address Nigeria’s worsening security crisis. Obi cited over 150 lives lost to violence in the past two weeks, particularly in Plateau State, as urgent justification for the President’s immediate return.

In a strongly-worded statement, Obi declared: “Domestic problems beckon,” criticizing the “apparent absence of governance” amid rising nationwide insecurity. The appeal comes as armed attacks persist across multiple states during the President’s extended foreign engagement.
