The British High Commission in Nigeria will close its offices in Abuja and Lagos on April 18 and 21 in observance of the Easter holidays.

The United Kingdom (UK) Embassy in Nigeria has announced that it will close its offices on Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, 2025, in observance of Good Friday and Easter Monday. The embassy shared the information in a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, April 17.

“The British High Commission, Nigeria will be closed on Friday 18th April (Good Friday) and Monday the 21st April (Easter Monday), 2025 for the #Easter Holidays. We wish all Christians and all those celebrating a Happy Easter!” the post read.

The closure affects both the High Commission in Abuja and the Deputy High Commission in Lagos, which handle diplomatic and consular services.

Normal operations are expected to resume on Tuesday, April 22. The embassy advised individuals requiring services to plan accordingly.
