Nigerian Breweries Plc swung to a N69.9 billion profit in Q1 2025, boosted by revenue growth and lower FX losses.

Nigerian Breweries Plc reported a profit of N69.9 billion for Q1 2025, marking a significant rebound from the N10.7 billion loss recorded in Q1 2024. The turnaround was driven by strong revenue growth and a sharp drop in foreign exchange losses.

Revenue rose to N277.4 billion from N146.9 billion, while FX losses dropped to N79.5 billion from N153 billion.

The company noted that, “The operating environment remained challenging due to the impact of high inflation, FX volatility, and increased input costs.” Nigerian Breweries credited its performance to strategic pricing, cost management, and portfolio innovation despite continued macroeconomic pressures
