Plateau State reels from fresh terrorist attacks across Bokkos and Bassa LGAs, leaving over 100 dead and survivors traumatized. Among the victims, COCIN Pastor James Musa Mareen narrowly escaped death after Fulani militias macheted him and threw him into a well. The assailants targeted four communities in guerrilla-style raids, displacing hundreds.
“They macheted my legs, arms and head… threw me into the well with chains and a stone,” Mareen recounted, revealing attackers feigned taking him to a hospital before attempting to execute him.
