Ibadan-based Fuji musician Taye Currency has publicly confirmed losing N10 million to the collapsed Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX), becoming the first Nigerian celebrity to admit involvement in the Ponzi scheme. In a viral performance clip, the visibly angry singer cursed associates who introduced him to the platform, revealing they also invested stolen funds and personal savings before its April 14 crash.

“It shall not be well with all of you that introduced it to me,” Currency declared in Yoruba, naming four accomplices including his band manager who allegedly invested N1.4 million. The Singapore-based CBEX allegedly defrauded Nigerians of N1.3 trillion before abruptly shutting down.
