A 13-year-old girl has died after falling through an attic floor during a youth event in Pueblo, Colorado, according to multiple reports.
Joeylin Kenley McDonald was attending a youth kickback event at the Rocky Mountain SER (RMSER) after-school Head Start program when the incident occurred. Police responded to the scene around 7 p.m. on Friday, April 18, ABC affiliate KRDO and Fox affiliate KXRM-TV reported. McDonald reportedly fell 25 feet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family, including her parents and five siblings, is “devastated,” her aunt Caitlyn Valdez wrote on a Meal Train donation page.
Rocky Mountain SER called McDonald’s death a “tragic loss” and stated, “We ask the Pueblo community and beyond to join us in lifting in loving support and deep prayer.”
