An explosion on Tuesday at Abakpa, near the old Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) site in Kaduna, has reportedly killed two children, Imam and six-year-old Nasrin. Three others were injured. The cause remains unknown as security agencies continue investigations.
A resident, who preferred anonymity, told our correspondent, “The explosion occurred very close to my house. So when I heard it, I ran out to see what has happened. I saw one of the affected victims, Imam, and tried to take him to the hospital but he died before we got to the hospital.” The incident has thrown the area into panic, with residents in shock. Attempts to reach the Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer, DSC Mansur Hassan, for confirmation were unsuccessful.
