Ajibola Basiru, national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), compared the ruling party’s grassroots engagement to the door-to-door evangelism of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television, Basiru described the opposition in Nigeria as “unserious” and “inactive.”

Basiru commended the APC’s leadership under President Bola Tinubu and noted that the party is focused on building a functional structure at all levels of government.
