Rivers: Reverend Sister hacked to death

The source further said the Reverend Sister’s remains was discovered in a pool of her blood by some natives who alerted a local security outfit in the area.

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested one Kelvin Okoro for allegedly killing a Reverend Sister, Maureen Wecheonwu, in Aluu community, Ikwerre LGA. Okoro, who owed the deceased an undisclosed sum, reportedly lured her to a secluded area under the pretense of discussing repayment before attacking her. A source said, “He called the woman out in the guise of discussing the debt… took her to a lonely path and hit her severely with an object.”

The victim’s body was discovered in a pool of blood by locals who alerted a security outfit. The source added that the Reverend Sister had previously complained about Okoro’s refusal to repay the debt. Police are investigating the incident as the suspect remains in custody. “She had been complaining to people in the community that he had refused to pay,” the source revealed.
