“They’re great countries and they were brave doing it and it’s worked out very well and we’re going to be filling up the Abraham Accords … very rapidly,” Mr. Trump said.

President Donald Trump on Thursday suggested he may deserve a Nobel Peace Prize for the Abraham Accords, saying many countries are showing interest in joining the agreement. “Maybe for the Abraham Accords,” Trump said during a White House meeting with Norwegian officials. “I don’t want to get ahead of myself in this one.” He criticized President Biden for not expanding the initiative. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, also present, supported Trump’s stance, saying, “There’s great, enormous opportunity to grow the Abraham Accords.” Rubio added that Trump is working hard to prevent and end global conflicts. The Abraham Accords, brokered in 2020, normalized relations between Israel and several Arab nations. Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize multiple times.
