‘I said, ‘I need to go home and get laid…I didn’t do anything wrong.’
A Chicago Housing Authority member sparked controversy after openly declaring her sexual frustrations during an official meeting, according to an inspector general’s report.
Francine Washington, a Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) official, admitted to making the eyebrow-raising remark during a meeting, confirming to the Chicago Tribune: “I said, ‘I need to go home and get laid.’” The comment, revealed in an inspector general’s report, followed a heated exchange with a CHA lawyer. Washington defended herself, insisting the statement had “no sexual connotations against anyone” and was less offensive than the attorney’s remarks.
The report, which did not name Washington initially, cited “sexually graphic” conversations in public forums. Unfazed, Washington told the Tribune: “If I say something, I mean what I said.” The incident highlights workplace decorum concerns, though Washington maintains she did nothing wrong.
