Members of the Rivers Caucus in the National Assembly have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid for 2027.
The caucus, comprising two senators and seven House of Representatives members—all from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)—announced their support on Saturday in Port Harcourt. Senator Barry Mpigi, reading a statement signed by all members, cited Tinubu’s “visible successes” and called his Renewed Hope Agenda “the surest path to Nigeria’s prosperity and progress.”
“We worked assiduously under the leadership of Nyesom Wike for the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. And we were victorious in that assignment,” they stated.
The lawmakers praised Tinubu’s economic reforms, highlighting declining inflation and reduced foreign debt. They also commended his intervention in Rivers State’s political crisis.

The nine lawmakers urged other aspirants to shelve their ambitions and back Tinubu for continuity.
