Access Bank has confirmed it is cooperating with law enforcement authorities after terminating a staff member accused of secretly filming colleagues in the bank’s restrooms.
In a statement, the bank’s management said the incident had been escalated to the appropriate authorities, with an investigation underway. “We uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and any form of privacy violation,” the statement read.
The former employee, identified as Stephen Ifeanyichukwu Ejezie, was reportedly caught in the female restroom at the bank’s Oniru contact center at 1:30am on Wednesday. Ejezie, a former quality assurance specialist, allegedly recorded hundreds of video clips of colleagues.
