“A narrow, self-serving vision of America where they punish truth-tellers, favour loyalists, cash in on their power, and leave everyone to fend for themselves,” Harris said.
Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has strongly criticized Donald Trump, accusing him of leading a “selfish, self-serving” administration.
Speaking at an event in San Francisco hosted by Emerge, a political organization that supports Democratic women, Harris made her first major address since her party’s defeat in the November election.
“A narrow, self-serving vision of America where they punish truth-tellers, favour loyalists, cash in on their power, and leave everyone to fend for themselves,” Harris said, accusing Trump of ruling through fear, division, and unchecked power.
She warned of a long-standing agenda aimed at slashing public education, shrinking government, and privatizing services for the benefit of the wealthy. “President Trump, his administration, and their allies are counting on the notion that fear can be contagious,” she stated.
However, Harris emphasized growing resistance, declaring, “Fear isn’t the only thing that’s contagious. Courage is contagious. The courage of all these Americans inspires me.”
