The ages of the dead ranged from two years old to 54.
At least 11 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza on Wednesday, according to the territory’s civil defence agency, as Israel intensifies its military offensive. Spokesman Mahmud Bassal reported that eight members of the Al-Qidra family, including a child, were killed in their home in Khan Yunis. “The ages of the dead ranged from two years old to 54,” he said.
Another strike in the Jabalia refugee camp killed three and wounded eight.
Israel’s military has not commented on the latest strikes. The renewed offensive, launched on March 18 after a two-month truce, has drawn global condemnation, especially after a senior Israeli official said it aims for the “conquest” of Gaza.
Gaza’s health ministry said at least 2,507 people have been killed since the offensive resumed, bringing the overall war death toll to 52,615.
Hamas, which launched the conflict with its October 2023 attack, said it was suspending ceasefire talks, accusing Israel of waging a “hunger war.”
