The Federal Government on Wednesday presented a “Radio Biafra” broadcast and videos by Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in court to support terrorism charges against him. The materials, tendered as evidence by prosecution witness BBB, were played in the Federal High Court in Abuja. BBB, testifying from behind a screen, confirmed Kanu’s involvement in the broadcasts.

One broadcast, from October 20, 2020, during the #ENDSARS protests, saw Kanu urging protesters to attack police officers and soldiers. “Attack the police officers and soldiers anywhere they are found,” Kanu can be heard saying. “Ambush them, snatch their guns, and kill them.”
