IBADAN – His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, has indefinitely suspended two Mogajis for alleged misconduct and stripped them of their traditional beads.

Affected are Mogaji Kamorudeen Kolawole of Kukula family, Oke-Ofa Baba Isale (Ibadan North East LGA), and Mogaji Samsudeen Bello of Ekerin Ajengbe family, Isale Osi (Ibadan South West LGA).

The action, announced during a Land Matters Committee meeting at the old Olubadan Palace, takes immediate effect.

Speaking through Otun Olubadan, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, the monarch said: “Your suspension order is indefinite until you retrace your steps and do the needful.”

The monarch cited land grabbing, trespassing, and oppression of residents as key allegations. He warned the suspended Mogajis to cease parading themselves as title holders, urging law enforcement to act if they disobey.

The Olubadan also cautioned absentee Mogajis and Baales, warning that ignoring committee summons would result in forfeiture of titles.
