Rabiu Kwankwaso, former presidential candidate of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP), has warned lawmakers who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) that they will regret their actions.
Speaking in Kano on Friday, Kwankwaso condemned the defections, calling them a “betrayal” of the voters who supported them. He stated, “There is no worse political sin than leaving the party that gave you the opportunity.”
Kwankwaso also encouraged the youth to remain loyal to the Kwankwassiyya Movement, urging them to avoid those seeking personal gains. He added, “All those who betrayed Kwankwasiyya will regret their actions sooner or later.”
NNPP state chairman Hashimu Dungurawa thanked supporters for their loyalty to the party.
