The Premier League club is reportedly negotiating the structure of Frimpong’s €35 million release clause with Leverkusen.
Liverpool are advancing in talks to sign Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. In a statement on Tuesday, Romano revealed that the Premier League club has made progress, including initiating talks with Leverkusen about the structure of his €35 million release clause.
“Liverpool are advancing in talks to sign Jeremie Frimpong after contacts reported last week,” Romano stated. “Understand #LFC approached Bayer Leverkusen to discuss €35m release clause structure.” He also added that discussions are ongoing with the player’s camp, with Frimpong showing strong interest in a move to Anfield.
