Paris, France – A chilling attempted kidnapping rocked central Paris Tuesday as the daughter of a cryptocurrency CEO and her 2-year-old child were ambushed by masked, knife-wielding men near Rue Pache in the 11th arrondissement.

Video footage captured the assailants trying to force the 34-year-old woman and her toddler into a Chronopost delivery van.

Screams for help rang out before a passerby intervened, hurling a fire extinguisher and scaring off the suspects.

The child’s father, 30, sustained injuries, reportedly shielding his family and suffering multiple blows and a possible stab wound.

The victims remain unnamed, but are confirmed to be relatives of a CEO tied to a cryptocurrency purchasing platform, according to Le Parisien.

Police recovered the suspects’ van nearby. The Paris prosecutor’s office is investigating, citing potential financial motives.

The attack occurred less than two miles from a courthouse where Kim Kardashian testified that same morning.

Authorities note a rise in crimes targeting crypto-affiliated figures due to untraceable assets.
