APC to Atiku: You’re being deceived, no member involved in coalition

Ibrahim: “Atiku is being deceived… If any APC member is speaking with him, they’re probably stringing him along.”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied any involvement in the coalition announced by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

APC Director of Publicity, Bala Ibrahim, dismissed Atiku’s claims, saying the former PDP presidential candidate is being misled.

“Atiku is being deceived,” Ibrahim told journalists in Abuja. “The APC is not involved in any such coalition. As a party, we are focused, growing stronger daily, and not bothered by his political theatrics.”

Atiku had claimed that individuals from APC, PDP, and Labour Party were collaborating in a new alliance, citing support from key figures like Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai, and Tanko Yunusa.

Ibrahim, however, said no genuine APC member would align with Atiku’s cause. “If any APC member is speaking with him, they’re probably stringing him along, as has happened repeatedly in the past. Each time he engages in coalitions, he ends up losing. That’s the pattern,” he said.
