A suspected kidnapper in his 20s has said he cannot recall the number of children his gang had taken from Ilorin, Kwara State.

A suspected kidnapper in his 20s has confessed to abducting children for ritual purposes in Ilorin but claimed he couldn’t recall how many victims were taken. The suspect, who was nearly lynched by a mob before being rescued by police, said in a trending video that he was paid N10 million by a team leader based in Dagbolu, Osun State.

“I can’t remember how many children we kidnapped in Ilorin,” the suspect said, visibly bruised, while revealing the names of accomplices.

Kwara State Police Command spokesperson, Adetoun Adetoun, confirmed the arrest and said the suspect was in custody undergoing interrogation. Adetoun condemned mob action, urging the public to avoid jungle justice. “Such acts are not only unlawful but can also result in the miscarriage of justice,” she stated, encouraging residents to report crimes to law enforcement agencies.
