Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, has revealed that all governors from the South-East are aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s administration and urged former Anambra Governor, Peter Obi, to join the developmental push.
“All the governors in the South East, regardless of party affiliation, are working with the President,” Umahi said in a feature interview for an upcoming State House documentary. “I call on my brother, His Excellency Peter Obi, to join us and work with Mr. President.”
He noted that the region is now witnessing federal presence under Tinubu’s leadership, with four major projects ongoing in Ebonyi State alone. Umahi disclosed plans for a South-East summit to endorse Tinubu for 2027.
The Minister also announced that Section 1 of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway will be tolled from December, stating, “We project a 10-year return on investment.”
He praised Tinubu’s vision, saying, “These projects testify to his unwavering commitment to national development and a better future for all Nigerians.”
