“Finally, the housing units will be offered for sale through a transparent and competitive process, which will be widely advertised and managed via the Renewed Hope Portal,” the minister tweeted.
The EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, on Tuesday transferred the forfeited Abuja estate to the Housing Ministry, following President Bola Tinubu’s directive. Housing Minister Ahmed Dangiwa confirmed the development, stating that the properties would be sold to the public through a “transparent and competitive process” via the Renewed Hope Portal.
Dangiwa emphasized that the handover aligns with the government’s commitment to converting recovered assets into public benefits. “The housing units will be completed and made available to Nigerians through an accountable process,” he tweeted, highlighting collaboration with the EFCC to demonstrate tangible gains from anti-corruption efforts.
The minister described the move as a milestone in repurposing seized properties for national development. The estate, located in Abuja’s Cadastral Zone, remains under scrutiny as the government prepares to finalize its sale to the public.
