If you are performing, nothing to fear. If you miss the objective, we’ll review it. If no performance, you leave us

President Bola Tinubu has directed all 47 federal ministers to present their performance reports to Nigerians as his administration approaches its first anniversary on May 29. The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced this during a press briefing in Abuja.

“From tomorrow (today), we are going to have ministers come in here to discuss what they are doing in their various ministries consistent with the policies of President Bola Tinubu,” Idris stated.

The sectoral media briefings, set to commence on Thursday, will span several weeks, allowing each minister to detail their achievements and initiatives. This approach aligns with Tinubu’s commitment to transparency and accountability in governance.

“This year, 2025, is a year of consolidation—a year for building on the gains recorded in the first 19 months of this administration,” Idris emphasized.

At a cabinet retreat in November 2023, Tinubu remarked, “If you are performing, nothing to fear. If you miss the objective, we’ll review it. If no performance, you leave us.”
