The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Sunday released results of the 2025 UTME resit conducted for 336,845 candidates affected by earlier technical errors.

Registrar Ishaq Oloyede said the resit followed server malfunctions that disrupted data uploads for 379,997 candidates across 157 centres. Over 21,000 scheduled candidates were absent.

Despite the resit, JAMB noted only 29.3% scored above 200, mirroring trends from the past twelve years. “Performance remains consistent,” the board stated.

JAMB also uncovered disturbing fraud. “Some centres colluded with school proprietors to hack local networks,” it said, citing remote test manipulation, impersonation through photo-blending, and illegal LAN extensions.

Over 3,000 candidates are under investigation. “Mercenary candidates” and altered seating plans were also reported.

One viral false claim by Olisa Gabriel Chukwuemeka—who alleged a 326 score—was debunked after his real result of 180 was confirmed.

JAMB warned against misinformation, vowing to uphold integrity through continued investigations and accountability.
