The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has withdrawn from all agreements aimed at resolving the ongoing crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), blaming Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for fueling the party’s troubles.

In a statement titled “PDP Crisis: My Position,” Wike expressed frustration over repeated breaches of agreed resolutions, including the recognition of Senator Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary and the withdrawal of legal suits involving Rivers State.

“I told Governor Makinde that non-adherence to agreements is the root of the PDP’s current troubles and that he remains the chief culprit in this regard,” Wike said.

He accused Makinde of orchestrating moves to undermine party unity, including attempts to replace Anyanwu and disrupt zonal congresses.

Wike added, “Most importantly, I had thought that we could keep the trust amongst us, but since it is now obvious that they would continue to play games to the detriment of the party… I have now firmly decided to pull out of all agreements hitherto reached.”

He pledged to continue the fight for justice within the party.
