“We used to think we had two Presidents in Nigeria… now we know Wike has a boss who can checkmate his excesses,” Momodu added.
Dele Momodu hailed President Tinubu’s intervention in the sealing of Abuja properties, warning that Minister Wike is acting like a “co-president” and becoming a liability to the administration.
Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, Dele Momodu, has commended President Bola Tinubu for intervening in the mass sealing of over 4,000 Abuja properties, including the PDP headquarters, by the FCT administration.
Momodu, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, criticised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, accusing him of acting like Nigeria’s “co-president.”
“While no one should condone non-compliance of government obligations… Wike is fast becoming a liability to your government,” he wrote.
The Federal Capital Territory Administration had sealed buildings, including FIRS, Access Bank, and TotalEnergies, following Wike’s directive.
However, FCT Land Director Chijioke Nwankwoeze later announced a 14-day grace period following Tinubu’s intervention.
“We used to think we had two Presidents in Nigeria… now we know Wike has a boss who can checkmate his excesses,” Momodu added.
He urged Tinubu to also address the political crisis in Rivers State and accused Wike of overshadowing his duties with “tautological press conferences.”
