Russian media mocks Trump as he threatens Putin

“Lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD,” Trump wrote, “Putin is playing with fire.”

Former President Donald Trump issued a vague threat to Vladimir Putin in a Truth Social post Tuesday, suggesting dire consequences for Russia if a ceasefire in Ukraine is not reached.

“Lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD,” Trump wrote, warning Putin he was “playing with fire.”

Speaking to reporters Sunday, Trump criticized the Russian leader’s renewed assault. “He’s killing a lot of people, and I don’t know what the hell happened to Putin… he’s sending rockets into cities and killing people, and I don’t like it at all.”

The remarks came after Russia launched its largest missile and drone attack on Ukraine since 2022, bombarding Kyiv over the weekend.

Putin has not responded publicly, but Russian state media mocked Trump and dismissed ceasefire talks. “Why would we stop?” asked a Russian TV host. Analyst Vladimir Solovyov highlighted Trump’s strained ties with Europe, noting his proposed tariffs on the EU.
