Trump doubled down on his criticism, posting on Truth Social: “What Vladimir Putin doesn’t realize is that if it weren’t for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia… He’s playing with fire!” Medvedev, now a top Russian security official, fired back: “I only know of one REALLY BAD thing — WWIII. I hope Trump understands this!”

Trump’s former Ukraine envoy, Keith Kellogg, also joined the exchange, further fueling the war of words. The heated rhetoric highlights deepening US-Russia tensions, even as behind-the-scenes diplomacy persists.
