Nigeria beat Ghana 2-1 in London at Unity Cup 2025

Nigeria defeated Ghana 2-1 on Wednesday in London in an international friendly match tagged Unity Cup 2025.

The Super Eagles took a 2-0 lead in the first half and held off a second-half push by the Black Stars. Cyril Dessers opened scoring in the 14th minute, thrilling Nigerian fans at the GTech Community Stadium. The lead doubled five minutes later after Ghana’s Razak Simpson turned a Semilore Ajayi effort into his own net.

Ghana dominated the second half and pulled one back through Brandon Thomas-Asante in the 70th minute. Despite the pressure, Nigeria held on to secure victory. The Super Eagles will face Jamaica in the final of the tournament on Saturday.
