Cristiano Ronaldo’s future with Al Nassr remains uncertain as negotiations to extend his stay face complications
Cristiano Ronaldo’s future in Saudi Arabia is hanging in the balance as talks with Al Nassr over a potential contract extension remain unresolved. A senior football official described the negotiations as “difficult,” amid growing uncertainty over the Portuguese forward’s next move. Ronaldo recently posted the message, “This chapter is over,” sparking widespread speculation about an imminent departure.
Other top Saudi clubs, including Al Hilal and Al Ahli, are reportedly interested in signing him. With the FIFA Club World Cup approaching and a special transfer window from June 1 to 10 available to participating teams, the pressure is mounting to secure his services.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated, “Ronaldo might play for one of the teams as well at the Club World Cup,” suggesting discussions are ongoing. Despite scoring 25 goals this season and leading the Saudi Pro League in goals, Ronaldo’s Al Nassr ended the campaign without a trophy, increasing speculation about his next destination.
