“I was just horsing around with Little X, and I said, ‘Go ahead, punch me in the face,’ and he did.”

Tech billionaire Elon Musk drew attention Friday at the White House after appearing with a black eye during an Oval Office event marking the end of his 130-day stint in the Trump administration.

“I’ve got a little shiner here,” Musk, 53, said, following a question President Trump answered about French First Lady Brigitte Macron. “I wasn’t anywhere near France,” Musk added. “I was just horsing around with Little X, and I said, ‘Go ahead, punch me in the face,’ and he did.”

Photos from Thursday also showed the bruise during a presentation about SpaceX’s Mars plans. Asked about government reform, Musk said, “It’s a tough call, but I think colonizing Mars and making life multiplanetary is harder.” As part of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk pushed for $2 trillion in spending cuts. However, final figures showed $175 billion in reductions. “This is not the end of DOGE, only the beginning,” Musk said. “The DOGE team will only grow stronger.”
