Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended blockwork visa quotas for Nigeria and 13 other countries, including Egypt, Sudan, and Indonesia, as part of measures to regulate labour inflows during the Hajj season.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development confirmed that the pause applies to new and pending applications under the quota-based hiring system, which allows Saudi employers to recruit a set number of foreign workers.
The suspension remains in effect until the end of June 2025.
