Washington, D.C. – Billionaire Elon Musk has condemned President Donald Trump’s sweeping tax and spending bill, calling it a “disgusting abomination” in a scathing series of posts on X.

The legislation, passed by the House in May, includes multi-trillion dollar tax breaks, increased defence funding, and raises the U.S. debt ceiling to $4 trillion. Musk said the bill, which he claims will drive the deficit to $2.5 trillion, is “outrageous” and “pork-filled.”

“I can’t stand it,” Musk wrote. “It will burden American citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt.”

Musk, who ended his advisory role in the Trump administration on May 31, had previously criticized the bill as “disappointing.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed Musk’s comments, stating, “The President already knows where Elon Musk stood on this bill,” adding that Trump still sees the legislation as “one, big, beautiful bill.”

The bill also extends Trump-era tax cuts and allocates significant funds toward mass deportations and defense expansion.
