He reportedly admitted to purchasing black soap from a traditional herbalist for N100,000 and impersonating another student using a false NIN.
Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, has expelled Oladipupo Siwajuola for “gross violation of university rules” following public concern over his earlier disappearance.
The university, in a statement by Dr. Joshua Suleiman, Director of Marketing and Communication, said Oladipupo was dismissed after he confessed to serious offences, including drug peddling, impersonation, and involvement in “Yahoo Yahoo Plus” rituals.
“Following his confession and the findings of the Disciplinary Committee, Babcock University found him guilty of multiple offences,” Suleiman said, listing unauthorised campus exit, possession of fetish materials, and dishonesty.
Contrary to his mother’s claim that he was abducted, Babcock said Oladipupo was found staying with a friend in Lagos and returned home after the friend’s mother intervened.
He reportedly admitted to purchasing black soap from a traditional herbalist for N100,000 and impersonating another student using a false NIN. He also borrowed N500,000 from an online loan app to fund gambling.
Upon return to campus on May 15, he voluntarily detailed his actions to university authorities.
The university urged the public to ignore misinformation and reaffirmed its commitment to discipline and moral integrity: “We urge the public to disregard false information and to continue partnering with us.”
