In total, a sum of N400 million was budgeted for the purchase and distribution of grinding machines in 2025 by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

A SaharaReporters review of Nigeria’s 2025 budget reveals N400 million allocated for grinding machines across three constituencies under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

The Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology separately budgeted N195 million for similar purchases, including N75 million for Birnin Kebbi and N80 million for Aliero. These allocations follow BudgIT’s exposure of N6.93 trillion in questionable project insertions by the National Assembly.

“These insertions reflect budgetary abuse,” BudgIT stated, citing “238 projects worth N2.29 trillion added without justification.” Critics argue such allocations prioritize political patronage over national development needs.
