“Thomas Frank is interested in becoming Tottenham’s next manager and is regarded as ‘the leading candidate,’” reports The Telegraph
Brentford manager Thomas Frank is reportedly interested in replacing Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham Hotspur manager. Spurs confirmed Postecoglou’s dismissal on Friday, citing the need to move beyond the emotions tied to their recent Europa League victory.
Despite winning the trophy, Spurs finished 17th in the Premier League, leading to his exit. Frank, whose Brentford team finished 10th this season, is considered the “leading candidate” and reportedly retains a good relationship with Spurs’ sporting director Johan Lange.
Postecoglou received a £4 million compensation package and expressed pride in his tenure, saying, “Sharing that experience with all those who truly love this club… is something I will never forget.” Tottenham’s board said the decision was difficult but necessary to compete effectively in multiple competitions going forward. Talks with Frank are ongoing ahead of Spurs’ pre-season campaign.
