Tesla CEO Elon Musk is “suffering from a bit of PTSD” after a five-month advisory role in the Trump administration, according to his father, Errol Musk. Speaking to Russia’s Tsargrad TV, Errol said Elon is “tired” and “stressed” and described the experience as “a turbulent five‑month stint” similar to “a strained marriage.” He claimed Elon now regrets his involvement, stating, “So at the moment, Elon is inclined to say that he’s made a mistake. Trump will prevail. He’s the president, he was elected as the president.”
Errol Musk also told Al Arabiya English he had urged his son via message to de-escalate the conflict. Responding to Elon’s deleted X post linking Trump to Jeffrey Epstein, he added, “I don’t know what he was thinking… I think people lash out when they’re under stress.”
The New York Times reported Trump has privately called Musk a “big time drug addict” since their recent public fallout.
