The 35-year-old defender, currently with Boca Juniors, is nearing the end of his contract and could be set for a move to Major League Soccer. Rojo, who won four trophies during his time at Manchester United, has become a key figure at Boca, helping the team secure the Primera Division title and domestic cups.
Inter Miami is seeking defensive reinforcements, having conceded 27 goals and failed to keep a clean sheet in their last eight matches. A move would reunite Rojo with Messi and Inter Miami manager Javier Mascherano.
