Messi urges Inter Miami to sign former Man Utd defender

Rojo previously said, “Leo called me… I spoke with Leo Messi, who told me about the possibility of going to Inter. Imagine what that means for any footballer.”

Lionel Messi is reportedly pushing for Inter Miami to sign his former Argentina teammate Marcos Rojo, according to TNT Sports Argentina. The 35-year-old defender, currently with Boca Juniors, is nearing the end of his contract and could be set for a move to Major League Soccer. Rojo, who won four trophies during his time at Manchester United, has become a key figure at Boca, helping the team secure the Primera Division title and domestic cups.

Inter Miami is seeking defensive reinforcements, having conceded 27 goals and failed to keep a clean sheet in their last eight matches. A move would reunite Rojo with Messi and Inter Miami manager Javier Mascherano.

Rojo previously said, “Leo called me… I spoke with Leo Messi, who told me about the possibility of going to Inter. Imagine what that means for any footballer.” Despite declining earlier out of loyalty to Boca, Rojo may now reconsider.
