“This is what you get always in Nigeria, because we now live in a country of propaganda and lies – and they manufacture it.” Obi said.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, has accused President Bola Tinubu and members of his administration of fueling the crisis within the Labour Party (LP).

Speaking on Arise TV on Monday, Obi alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is behind the internal party conflict for political advantage.

“This is what you get always in Nigeria, because we now live in a country of propaganda and lies – and they manufacture it,” Obi said.

He claimed the ongoing rift is “instigated and sustained by the government of today.”

Referring to LP’s factional leadership, Obi added, “I’m weak, but it’s not weakness… You speak the truth and they call you names.”

He accused the government of spreading division, even in families.
