The Indian-born billionaire collapsed during a polo match in England on Thursday after being stung on the mouth.
Billionaire, Sunjay Kapur, 53, a longtime friend of Prince William and chairman of car parts giant Sona Comstar, has died after suffering a fatal heart attack triggered by a bee sting, The Mirror reports.
The Indian-born billionaire collapsed during a polo match in England on Thursday after being stung on the mouth. The sting reportedly caused anaphylactic shock, leading to cardiac arrest.
Kapur, who studied in the UK and was the former husband of Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Internal stings can cause immediate swelling, blockage of the airways, and a sudden drop in blood pressure,” experts say, “resulting in cardiac arrest.”
Just hours before his death, Kapur had posted a tribute to victims of Thursday’s Air India crash that claimed 241 lives.
