The Nigeria Police Force has extended the deadline for enforcement of the Tinted Glass Permit to August 12, 2025, following public feedback. Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, announced the extension in a statement issued by Force PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Saturday.
He said the move allows for a more accessible and citizen-friendly application process. “The Force has not ignored the voices of Nigerians,” the statement read, adding that the extension will accommodate technical and policy improvements.
Nigerians are advised to apply or renew their permits only through the official portal and report any cases of extortion. The Police reaffirmed their commitment to transparency, digital innovation, and public safety, while urging continued public cooperation.
