Jenny Boetler, wife of suspected political assassin Vance Boetler, was detained Saturday morning after police found weapons, ammunition, multiple passports, and a large amount of cash during a traffic stop, according to law enforcement sources cited by KTSP.

Boetler, traveling with several relatives near Onamia around 10 a.m., was questioned for hours but not formally arrested.

Authorities described the traffic stop as “high priority” due to her connection with Saturday’s deadly shootings targeting two Minnesota state lawmakers.

Her husband, Vance Boetler, is the prime suspect in the killing of Rep. Melissa Hortman and the wounding of Sen. John Hoffman. He remains at large. Boetler reportedly has international security experience in volatile regions including Gaza and Lebanon.

The couple previously co-owned Praetorian Guard Security Services, with Jenny listed as President and CEO.

Two police cruisers were observed at the scene for several hours.
